Think About Mentoring When You Become a Virtual Assistant
Friday, November 21st, 2008When you’re thinking about becoming a virtual assistant, one of the things that you are going to want to think about – very simply – is what you’re going to do to learn about the business. Realistically, there are a couple of clear options that are available:
- Make an effort to go into business on your own without learning a lot about running the business.
- Read some books or ebooks about going into business.
- Work with someone who has been in business as a virtual assistant who can help you to learn the business based on the experiences that they’ve had while establishing their successes.
In other words, one of the things that you are wanting to take a closer look at is mentoring. When you learn more about becoming a virtual assistant from someone who has “been there, done that,” you won’t find yourself making the same mistakes over and over; in fact, you’ll be able to focus on what your mentor learned after making those mistakes.
In other words, what you’re going to find is that working with someone who can mentor you when you are becoming a VA, you’ll be able to focus on getting your business started and running successfully.
