One of the things that you are going to find about running a VA business is that there are times when you feel isolated and alone. Now that’s not meant to discourage anyone who is thinking about becoming a virtual assistant, it’s just a word of caution. And, if being entirely on your own while running a VA business is an idea that you just can’t seem to get comfortable with, then maybe you’ll want to consider the value of working with someone else.
In other words, not everyone who is running a VA business is going to make the choice to go on a solitary venture. When you are making an effort to network with other virtual assistants – especially when you are just getting started – you are going to find that it’s a great idea to compare the skills that you have. When you do, you will be able to look at the ways in which those services complement one another.
When you are working with other VAs while you are running your business, you will find that you are in a great position to use multiple skill sets – in other words, if you’re great at writing copy but not as sure of yourself when it comes to design, teaming up with another virtual assistant who has the opposite skills is going to benefit you both.
Of course – and perhaps more importantly – you are going to find that running a VA business with another virtual assistant allows you to share ideas, offer more services and to rest assured that there is someone there backing you up if necessary. Sometimes, that’s just enough to make you realize how great running a BA business can be – and how easy it can be to take your business to the next level.
