When you are looking into becoming a virtual assistant and running a business of your own, one of the things that you are going to want to do is to focus on identifying what you do. You are going to want to be sure that you are running your business – and thinking of it as a business.

Some of the things that you will read about running a VA business will tell you that it’s just a matter of freelancing from home. In other cases, running a VA business is all about making sure that you are managing a team of professionals who will be working for your business and assisting your clients.

Identifying what you do while you are running a VA business is key: if you simply think of yourself as someone who looks for freelance opportunities, however, is it really the same as running a VA business? Is it the services that you offer that make it so that you can say you are running a VA business?

The more that you are able to identify what you do and to feel confident that you are running a VA business of your own, the more successful you will be and the more that you will be able to draw in clients.
