Virtual Assistant Marketing: Who Do You Need to Reach?

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

When you sit down and start thinking about marketing for your virtual assistant business, one of the top things that you need to be focusing on is your goal. Specifically: who are you trying to reach with you virtual assistant marketing materials?

Even when you’re doing a lot of your virtual assistant marketing online, you need to know who you are trying to reach. If you offer light bookkeeping services in addition to basic administrative services, you want to be sure that you’re marketing your business in places where you’re likely to find those who need someone to just keep tabs of their business expenses. That means that you’ll want to take the time to think of where you’d locate those people and what keywords or key phrases they would be using to search for services like the ones that you offer.

The same holds true regardless of what type of virtual assistant marketing you’re looking at doing. Launching a pay per click campaign? You’ll want to be sure that you’re using the right keywords. Focusing on creating brochures to pass out to local small businesses? Be sure that you’re giving them the message that will encourage them to act.

The reality is simple: when it comes to marketing your virtual assistant business (and marketing yourself as a virtual assistant) you’re going to want to be sure that you are able to reach those individuals who are most likely to take advantage of the services that you offer.
