Becoming a Virtual Assistant: Choosing Your Niche
Friday, March 7th, 2008When you become a virtual assitant one of the most important things that you can do is to set yourself apart by identifying your niche.
Niche marketing on the internet is something that everyone who starts an online or virtual business hears about at some point. It’s about specializing, it’s about showing that, within a certain field, you have something to give – a service that you can provide (or a product that you can sell) that no one else does in quite the same way.
The best thing that you can do when you become a virtual assistant is to find a niche where your interests are – if you love marketing, marketing is a great starting point; if you enjoy writing or blogging, those are great places to start as well – because that’s going to help you to stay committed to your business.
Once you’ve started looking at your niche, you’ll want to be able to identify the need for it and to learn more about what you need to target that niche.
This is such an important part of becoming a virtual assistant that it’s a core element of VA business training that, if you’re thinking about becoming a VA it’s definitely something to look into.
