A Network Is Important When You’re Running a VA Business
Some people have this idea that running a VA business is a somewhat solitary process. Sure, you may not hit the ground running with a rented office space and a team of virtual assistants, but starting a virtual assistant business entirely on your own may not be the best idea.
For starters, if you go it alone believing that your skills are enough, you may find that you have some trouble bringing on clients. Running a VA business is going to be far simpler if you take a team approach.
When you have a network – or when you know and interact with other virtual assistants – you’re going to find that it’s easier to learn what to do, what not to do and what to be on the lookout for.
For example, when you network with other virtual assistants, you may know more about being on the lookout for scams that other VAs have been noticing – ways in which they may have been taken advantage of. You’ll also be able to get a feel for what you can do to market your business more effectively and pick up information about services that others VAs provide.
Of course, networking is also important for one other reason: it’s a good way to talk out challenges your facing and to find the solutions you need to get past them.
